The 2010 Rincon International Film Festival will take place April 20 -25th in the beautiful vacationland of Rincón, Puerto Rico. Festival events take place in and around the city, where patrons are able to see great films and also enjoy the beautiful nearby beaches. Come see films playing at beautiful beachfront resorts. Dinners, movies, parties and beaches to explore and enjoy. This is truly a filmmakers and film lovers vaction festival.
OUR MISSION
The mission of the Rincón International Film Festival is to support and promote culture and the arts in Puerto Rico through the medium of film. The festival seeks to inspire student, future and current filmmakers in the art of filmmaking, and to enhance the movie viewing experience in Puerto Rico through creative, unique and entertaining events. With special award categories for Puerto Rican filmmakers and Spanish Language films as well as International and American Films. Rincón Puerto Rico is also a Surfer's paradise, so the festival is also looking to screen great surfing films.

Promoting Film and the Arts in Puerto Rico. The Rincon International Film Festival intends to present The Best of Independent Film including Surfing Films, Horror Films, Comedy Films, Romantic Comedies, Dramas, Documentaries, Animations, Music Videos, Spanish Language Films, International Films, wonderful short films, and more!! A wonderful assortment of entertaining and innovative films from around the world. RIFF will also have specialized category awards for Puerto Rican Filmmakers and subject material. Puerto Rico is a unique cross section of English and Spanish speaking communities. Therefore, we are screening English and Spanish speaking films and also recognizing a film with the unique award of Best Spanish Language Film.

The 2009 Rincon International Film Festival was a huge success with nearly all event screenings SOLD OUT. The weather was beautiful and we had filmmakers travel from Puerto Rico, Japan, USA stateside, Germany, Spain, and Canada. Thank you to All for a successful 2009 event!
Thank you also to Cinefiesta and The Film Foundation of Puerto Rico for their contribution of short films which can be seen in a special block of films on Friday, April 23, 2010 at Villa Cofresi.
