We are pleased to announce the screening of "One California Day" as part of the Rincon International Film Festival. From the filmmakers who brought you Singlefin: yellow, DRIVE and Stylemasters, comes a story about surf culture and tradition. Co-directed by Jason Baffa (Single Fin Yellow) and Mark Jeremias (DRIVE), "One California Day" is a visual journey through six distinct coastal regions, capturing the California surfing experience through the surfers who live it. Shot in brilliant super 16mm color film, the movie examines the variety of subtle differences that make California so unique. RIFF feels that this film will be a welcome addition to the lineup of great independent films screening in the surfing and vacation paradise of Rincon.

THE BORINQUENEERS

'The Borinqueneers'  
is the first major documentary to chronicle the never-before-told story of the Puerto Rican 65th Infantry Regiment, the only all-Hispanic unit in the history of the U.S. Army.

Narrated by Hector Elizondo, the documentary explores the fascinating stories of courage, triumph and struggle of the men of the 65th through rare archival materials and compelling interviews with veterans, commanding officers, and historians.

This film is a result of extensive historical research and interviews with 250 veterans and commanding officers of the 65th Infantry from all over the United States and Puerto Rico.

Filmmakers and Subjects from the film will be present at the screening and entertaining a Q & A following the film.
