The Rincón International Film Festival is proud to announce the celebration of 5 years of entertaining films!
More than a tropical little escape, RIFF brings its audience together, not in stuffy theaters, but at beachfront resort screenings. You mingle with locals, filmmakers, and other film enthusiasts, while feeling the cool ocean breeze and hearing the waves gently sing in the background.

RIFF creates a spectacular screening environment by showcasing films at outdoor venues at beachfront resorts. Every evening, a dinner/food event is created by some of the finest chefs in the area. See entertaining films while enjoying the great outdoors.
Daytime screenings are hosted at the Beachfront Villa Cofresi, where you can see films, or enjoy the beach, bar, restaurant and pool.
Rincón is a 2 hour drive from San Juan and has become a Carribbean hideaway vacation destination, known for surfing, beaches, and a Laissez-faire attitude. Filmmakers from around the world travel into Rincón every year for the festival. Filmmakers from Japan, China, Spain, Canada, Europe and US states from California to New York, have attended and shown their work, as well as up and coming directors and filmmakers from Puerto Rico. A filmmaker from Germany actually proposed and married in Rincón before leaving the festival in 2009.
Submissions are open to All Films including: Feature Length (more than 50 minutes) Fiction Film and Documentaries. Short Films (under 50 minutes), music videos, International films, student films, surf films, and animation films from around the world.
We are in special need of comedy shorts, horror/fright night shorts, and surfing films. All films are screened in English or with English subtitles. All Spanish Language films submitted should have English subtitles by screening date.
Submission DVDs will not be returned. Final Production on films must be completed after
January 1, 2010 to qualify. Earlier productions will not be considered.

AWARDS
RIFF prides itself on treating our filmmakers like royalty when they arrive in Puerto Rico. We feel that rewarding filmmakers with cash awards and prizes is of great importance. In 2012, we will be offering more than $5,000 in cash awards and prizes.
